Saint Ann strongly supports the fine arts through a number of programs at the school. Students receive regular instruction in visual arts. Lessons are studio based and are supplemented with a discussion of relevant art history and technique. Students have the opportunity to display their artwork at the annual Spring Art Show held in the parish hall. Students also receive vocal music instruction and music history and appreciation.
In addition to the above mentioned art and music instruction (which is provided to all students as part of the basic curriculum), Saint Ann School offers a number of additional opportunities for students to explore the fine arts. For example, students in grades 3-8 may join the parish children’s choir. Also, instruction in violin and cello is available utilizing the Suzuki Method. These sessions are run by a talented group of instructors and have been very popular with both students and parents. In addition, the school offers concert band for students in grades 4-8. Individual and small group lessons, as well as full band sessions, are conducted by the band director. Finally, piano and guitar lessons are also offered through the school’s music teacher.
Theater arts are taught in the classroom, often in conjunction with English. In addition to a large stage in Powers Hall, the school also has a smaller informal drama performance area. Individual classes utilize this space for performing short stories, folk tales, and dramatic readings, sometimes of the students′ own compositions. A Drama Club is open to children in grades 4-8, and provides exposure to both acting and stage/set design. Also, the Art Services Club provides children with a particular interest in visual arts the opportunity to design and create flyers and banners for various school activities.
Saint Ann School offers both before and after care programs for its students. The before school program begins at 7 AM. There is a 1$ per day cost along with a registration fee. The children meet in an assigned classroom with an assigned teacher. Students go to their regular classrooms at the start of the school day.
Each school day Saint Ann School also offers an after school program (ASCP) in Walsh Hall. The children attending the ASCP report to Walsh Hall as a group from their classrooms. The hours of the program are 2:30 to 6 PM, with a number of convenient pickup times available. The program provides a host of structured activities for the children of working parents. Activities include arts and crafts, games, music and both indoor and outdoor play. A slot for homework and a snack are also included. Fees for the program are $3.50 per hour per child.

A variety of team sports are offered at Saint Ann School. These teams play in leagues with other parochial schools in the area, under the auspices of the Cleveland Diocese CYO. The sports include football (for boys, grades 4-8, two teams, with a cadet team of 4th-6th graders and a varsity team of 7th and 8th graders); basketball (boys and girls, grades 4-8); baseball (boys, grades 4-8); softball (girls, grades 4-8); track and field (boys and girls, grades 4-8, in a combined team with Gesu School); soccer (girls, grades 4-8); and cheerleading (girls, 8th grade).
